Day 1: I Am Beloved

The Heir Force Affirmations Journal

Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. Daniel 10:12 KJV

Day 1 Devotional Overview

Welcome to Day 1 of this 31-day affirmations journal. It is called more rightly a journal than a book because you will write your own version, day-by-day. Hence, the table of contents is more of a plan than solid content and may change in process of defining and accomplishing your goals. Each week, you will learn practical skills to research implement until you have a spiritual and natural toolbox for everyday living. Here are some major themes:

  1. Stop Procrastinating in order to avoid preventable crises and to reduce your stress and anxiety.
  2. Use the power of prayer, truth from the Word, and the spoken word to manifest good in your experience (speak only the good that youwant to realize.)
  3. Evaluate your recreation(s) and spend less time on entertainments that do not contribute to your health, spirituality, ministry, life goals, and God-given purpose.

Good Morning! After reviewing today’s Daily Foundation, complete the following module by reading all content and completing the journal and workbook activities.

Day 1 Prayer

As you read this journal and complete the daily activities, I pray that the LORD will richly bless you with gifts from heaven that only He can provide. As you draw nearer to God, may He camp His angels around you and walk with you from day to day, showing His divine care and demonstrating His power. May He continue to carry you when you are weak, nurture you to wholeness, cry with you, laugh with you, encourage your heart, and teach you how to abound. May every wound be healed and your mind renewed. May your heart lose fear and gain abundant faith. May you grow in love toward Him because He cares for you. May God touch your heart as you learn and grow in the arts of daily devotion.

May His Spirit guide and speak to you and reveal to you the plans that He has for your life [[1]], that your hope and joy will be full. May you embrace His will and be emboldened to follow Him with your whole heart. May your questions be answered according to His will. May you understand His love for you in a personal way, and overcome any obstacle(s) that hinder(s) you from going to His throne of grace. May you find what you need to grow as you are watered with His anointing.

May God bring His true servants to your path, to help you on your journey, to bring you courage, friendship, and a good example. May you meet the Holy Spirit in a new way – to bear your every burden and keep you in a straight path full of wisdom, strengthening you in your every virtue. When you have received of the LORD, may you be a light to others, steadfast in the faith, nothing wavering, keeping your eyes on Christ. As you commune with the King more and more, may your offering be pure and acceptable in His sight. I pray that you will do the work that is required to maintain your closer walk with God. May you find fulfillment in worshiping Him. May your heart be open to receive the power of God in your life. May you stand on His promises and enjoy the journey. These and other blessings I pray for you in Jesus’ Holy Name, Amen.

Day 1 Devotional

Read Romans 8:35-39 AMP

35 Who shall ever separate us from Christ’s love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword? 36 Even as it is written, For Thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we are regarded and counted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors [a]and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things [b]impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, 39 Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Nothing Shall Separate You

The love of God bonds you like glue to the mercy and grace of God. Nothing that you go through can break that bond on its own. The only way you can be separated from God, is if you willfully walk away from Him. No one can pluck you out of His hand. He is holding you up through the challenges you face and keeping you grounded when the world threatens to uproot you. He gives you divine power to surpass the p laces where the enemy sets a trap for you – He provides a way of escape that you might overcome all of the schemes of the devil. The Word says that you are made a little lower than the angels. However the actual translation means that you are made a little lower than Elohim, God Himself. Affirm who you are in the grand universe: you are made in the image of God, beloved of Him from the foundation of the world; part of His body manifested on earth and bearing witness through the Spirit, and nothing can separate you from His love as you are His child created to praise Him. If you sincerely give yourself to praising God, you attain a special rank in God, because He looks for persons to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. He will protect His investment in you when you make up your mind to give Him what He wants.

Day 1 Affirmation: I Am Beloved of GOD

Hello, My Name Is Beloved

I was on lockdown for 22 days in a psychiatric ward. When I arrived, I did not know my name or who I was. I was having visual and auditory hallucinations. I had not slept more than five hours in three days. I could not sleep at all during the first four days on the ward. I could not focus. I could not write. I could not sing.

These creative markers tell the story every time my mental health declines. When I am well, I can write and sing. So as I entered the ward disconnected from my core and two days after my forty-second birthday, I was having a meltdown … again.

I had been in recovery for almost two years. Then, things started to fall apart. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her husband was diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer. My birth father died.  I was having five or more panic attacks every day and I could not sleep at night.

Who Am I?

As my faithful readers know, I battle PTSD, bipolar disorder, major depression, and schizophrenia all resulting from childhood abuse. How? – You might ask, can I be a media missionary – a Christian author and evangelist, and have serious mental health issues? I had the same question – like Paul with the thorn in his flesh – about which he entreated God three times to remove, and three times The LORD said no.

In high school, I received the Harriet Tubman Award for being the Black Moses (hence my pen name Noire Mosée) of my generation. Moses had a speech impediment that made him question God’s reasoning in choosing him to be the deliverer of the Children of Isreal. After surviving severe postpartum depression, I began having symptoms of dissipating mental health. I never felt so far from being a prophet.

My Name is “Beloved”

Through my bouts with insomnia, I kept repeating the quote, “He [God] giveth His beloved sleep. While having so much trouble sleeping, I began thinking, am I not beloved because I cannot sleep? This is how depression manifests. It amplifies a negative thought.

It is vain for you to rise early, To retire late, To eat the bread of anxious labors— For He gives [blessings] to His beloved even in his sleep. Psalm 127:2 AMP

I could not identify with my purpose. What was a simple lack of sleep became an identity crisis. After about fourteen days of doing nothing but trying to rest in my room, I started to get some sleep during the night after my medications were changed.

Note: I believe in healing whether by miracle or by medicine. If a doctor prescribes medication for your mental health condition and it improves your quality of life, I believe this is a blessing from GOD, working through the doctor. I take a few medications every day just to maintain a close to normal atmosphere of health. When your atmosphere is controlled, you can focus on thriving in your faith.

As I started having more restful sleep and eating well, I realized that my condition was improving without the typical stressors that I was accustomed to facing every day. Although I was feeling better, I still needed to know who I was and whose I was.

I started reading my own book while confined. Suddenly I was no longer lost. The book was speaking to my heart in a familiar way. I could not argue with the ink on the pages. It told me that I was the daughter of the most high KING. I was destined to do more than die in the wilderness after forty years of circling the desert on a nowhere-go-round. It told me that I am a woman of purpose. It said…

For I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return]. Philippians 1:6 AMP

I started believing what I read. It was a positive transformative experience. I realized in the middle of a psych ward that my broken mind had produced answers to questions that had perplexed me for my whole life. It answered the questions Who am I and Who is God? and Who does God say that I am?

I have a mission to help the woman in my book touch the lives of other women suffering from depression, or battling Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; or who are sick from the low lows and the manic highs on the roller coaster of bipolar disorder; or who feel like they are losing their right mind because of schizophrenia.

Now that I can sleep, I will not rest until I have brought many people to hope in Jesus Christ.
